4001 Race Grade Durasurf Sintered UHMW
1.4mm CNC knife-cut. Sintered bases absorb wax more deeply than extruded and hold it longer — faster on day one and every day after.

Playful Medium Flex
Softest ski in our lineup but not a soft ski. We call it a playful medium. The Kanso rewards a wide range of skiers, you don't need textbook technique to get real performance out of it.
Epoxy
Entropy Super Sap® Bio-Based
28% bio-based content, formulated for high strength and impact resistance. Ellis chose it because it performs — and because making a ski shouldn't cost more than it should.
About This Ski
Kanso is a Japanese principle meaning 'simplicity through stripping away the excess.' The 106 is Ellis's one-ski quiver. It floats on powder mornings, carves on firm mornings, threads trees, loves features, and finishes the day on the last groomer run without ever feeling out of place. Playful and versatile doesn't usually mean this capable.
